Reigniting the Drive Within — Inspiration from Nellie Bly, a rebel heroine

Reigniting the Drive Within — Inspiration…

Listening to BBC Radio 4’s History’s Toughest Heroes about a remarkable lady, Nellie Bly
the fearless journalist who exposed horrific conditions inside a New York asylum.

Her work brought global attention to poor mental healthcare and paved the way for modern investigative reporting and women in journalism.

Her courage and conviction changed history but what struck me most wasn’t just what she did, it’s what drove her.

Fired up by an article ‘What Girls are good for’ – Housework & Children!

Her response set her in motion to change the world’s limited view

That same drive exists in all of us.
It’s just buried in fear of standing out and failing, manifesting from old feelings attached to our past life stories,

“I’m not capable.” “I mustn’t fail.”

These patterns aren’t mindset problems they’re body-based survival loops.
When the nervous system in our body feels unsafe, the brain predicts danger and becomes more ‘risk adverse’.

We hold back, overthink, or lose motivation not because we lack passion,
but because the body is still wired for caution.

When we retrain body and brain regulation first, everything changes.
The body relaxes, the brain opens, and drive returns naturally.

That’s the foundation of my Alya Approach, grounded in neuroscience:
Body first → Brain follows → Performance rises.

I deliver talks, workshops, and 1:1 coaching to help professionals
reconnect with their inner drive and lead with calm, clarity, and courage.

💭 What might you achieve if the energy you use to hold back could finally move you forward?

Message me “Interested” and I’ll share a few Alya neural techniques
to help you start.
